Excellent Weekend! Went down to Charleston with the relations for fun of the sunny beach variety. We also visited Magnolia Gardens which was great. It is the oldest garden in the United States and has been rated up there with the Grand Canyon and Yosemite. It is really beautiful and full of wildlife. The fact that I seem to increasingly enjoy gardens is definitely a sign of my becoming a geezer. Ten years ago such a trip would have bored the crap out of me, now the thing I'm looking forward to the most is spending a few hours sitting in my parent's garden with the fam. Man that sounds good. I always swore to myself that I would never take up gardening, so much for childhood oaths.

I'm still rather confused as concerns the format or purpose of all this "blogging". I happen to know that at least one other person reads this which means that I don't pour out my hidden feelings as I might with a private journal. Nor do I feel that I'm writing anything at all entertaining. If I read this blog, I'd probably think it sucked.
