What a horrendous week.. Really filthy. I've been sick, my car failed inspection, I need a new computer, and I have a sneaking dread suspicion that my land lord wants to kick me out...
First of all let me say that I think turn signals are cool and all, but I think they belong in the same general strata of automotive significance as review mirrors, digital clocks, and designer steering wheel grips. They're a freaking incumberence! A crutch! Now because my left turn signal doesn't work I'm forced to fork over $300. Thanks very much North Carolina inspection laws. Another instance of Republicans punishing the poor little blighter. Honestly! I'm tempted to just forgoe the whole thing and hope I don't get ticketed. I'm going to take special pleasure this year in insisting the state refund my $2 tax refund.. bastards.
If that weren't enough, I found out the other day that one of my professors is all gung-ho about using some video application that I feel with a sinking certainty will torpedo my poor little dell. I can't really blame the professor since supposedly we were supposed to buy flashy new laptops for this joint, but it still burns me. I've been keystrokes away from ordering a new dell several times this summer, but I just can't stomach taking on more debt. So I think I'll just drop, the first class bored the crap out of me anyways.
Finally, my landlord has been pursuing me to have dinner with he and his wife for a week and a half. There nice people and we get along fine, but we don't socialize. I've had dinner with them once in our 13 month relationship and that was fine. We've already had to cancel a few times and I'm wondering why he's so dogged about treating yours truly to happy hour and a meal. Needless to say that if I lose my diggs I would be screwed to the wall...
